The New Normal
2021 was a year of transition and resilience for Crossroads at Park Place. After navigating the challenges of the pandemic, we emerged stronger and more committed to our mission than ever.
Vaccines Come to Crossroads
In a significant milestone, Harris County Medical brought COVID-19 vaccines directly to our location, making it easy for our guests, volunteers, and community members to get vaccinated. Meeting people where they are — that is what Crossroads has always been about.
Safety First
Throughout the year, we maintained strict safety protocols. Masks were required for all guests, volunteers, and staff. We continued enhanced cleaning and hygiene practices to protect our community.
Full Services Return
On August 3, 2021, we restarted full Tuesday and Thursday services — the first time since the pandemic began that we offered our complete range of services including showers, laundry, clothing distribution, and our full meal program.
This was a momentous day for our guests, many of whom had been waiting months for these essential services to return.
Planning for Growth
As the year drew to a close, we began planning for growth in 2022. With three days of weekly service now established and a growing network of partners, Crossroads is positioned to serve more neighbors in need than ever before.
Thank you to everyone who supported Crossroads through this challenging and transformative year.
